i have a copy of “when things fall apart” by pema chödrön that has taken on an oracular quality for me. i don’t think i’ve ever actually read the book from beginning to end, but rather, when i hit a rough patch, i take a deep breath, open it up and just start reading. it’s always uncannily apropos of the current situation.
