here’s an awesome write-up in the NY Times about the project we’ve been developing at work over the last year or so. the site finally launched on thursday. in addition to a lot of behind-the-scenes work i did on the site, i also drew and animated the intro title sequence for the video trailer.

i got an email from mom today, telling me that one of her cousins, my tante frieda, had died. she had just started getting sick in the summer, so i didn’t get a chance to see her when i was in austria in august. her passing has triggered a lot of memories, and in particular a ritual that she and i shared. it was a rhyming childrens’ poem for two voices, and over the years, as i moved...
